What is I.D.P.A?
IDPA stands for International Defensive Pistol Association, it is designed around the use of practical equipment including full charge service ammunition to solve simulated “real world” self-defense scenarios and real life scenarios. Shooters competing in IDPA events are required to use practical handguns and holsters that are truly suitable for self-defense use. No “competition only” equipment is permitted in IDPA matches since the main goal is to test the skill and ability of an individual, not his equipment or gamesmanship. One of the unique facets of this sport is that it is geared toward the new or average shooter, yet it’s fun, challenging and rewarding for the experienced shooter.
Our shooting times are the second Saturday of each month. To register, go to Practiscore and search for Nampa IDPA. (Practiscore tutorial)
